Our Story

Since 2010, Art Massif has been creating glued-laminated timber structures for buildings of every kind, including businesses, restaurants, sporting goods, libraries, houses, and gymnasiums. We are experts in every step of production, from design and manufacturing through to final installation.Whether you’re a developer or contractor, our experienced team can assist you with any stage of your wood construction project.
Our manufacturing plant is located in St-Jean-Port-Joli and uses an FSC® traceability chain. This means the wood we use comes from responsibly managed forestsharvested using methods that respect local ecosystems and communities. We only use local wood, meaning wood that is native to Quebec’s ecosystems. Ask for our FSC® certified products. We’ll be more than happy to oblige!
And we do it by ensuring that all of our projects throughout Quebec meet the same exacting standards for craftsmanship.

For us, using glued-laminated timber opens up a world of infinite possibilities.Giving it any shape imaginable to enhance the aesthetic of our projects is an inspiration, a challenge, and a labor of love.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

At Art Massif, we’re big believers in sustainable development. As they grow and age, trees continuously store carbon.Building with wood keeps this carbon from being released back into the atmosphere, which is what happens when we burn wood.Wood is the only building material that helps restore the environment instead of degrading it.
Art Massif can also help you find energy-efficient building solutions. We’ll study your building site to identify prevailing winds, tree location and density, and position in relation to the sun.We then take all of these factors into consideration when drawing up your plans to ensure maximum energy efficiency.

STRENGTH
STRENGTH

Art Massif’s post-and-beam frames are assembled using wood to wood connections likeusing mortise-and-tenon joints for residential construction and steel joints for commercial and industrial construction. These building techniques deliver incomparable durability, stability, and strength.
Our glued-laminated timber beams are built to standards that ensure optimal stability and strength.

De plus, de par leur fabrication et les normes respectées, nos poutres de bois lamellé-collé offrent une stabilité et une résistance optimales.
