Administrative Center MRC de la Matapedia

Various municipal and community bodies occupy this three-storey building. It features a traditional structure of glued-laminated timber columns, beams and decking. Exposed decking was chosen instead of engineered joist floors, which offers a very natural-looking environment for the building’s occupants. By significantly reducing the height of each floor, costs were saved on the walls and exterior siding, which essentially offset the cost of the decking.
