An architectural challenge mastered with expertise

The Wahta’ School project stands out with the elegant radiating pattern of its curved glulam beams and columns, reminiscent of the longhouses of the Huron-Wendat Nation. A true signature of Art Massif, it showcases our expertise in designing and manufacturing exceptional structures that combine technical mastery and aesthetics.

The complex curves, hidden connections, and fabrication of a large curved valley beam presented a major technical challenge. Their execution required advanced engineering and high precision in manufacturing and assembly, demonstrating our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Inspired by longhouses, this project reinterprets an ancestral form to create a modern, functional space. Wood plays a central role, bringing warmth and inspiration while providing an inviting and inspiring environment for students, staff, and the community.
